10 things to Avoid when Building your Suit Wardrobe

Are you starting to put together your bespoke wardrobe? Learn from the Proff, and curb your enthusiasm: avoid wasting time and money, and saving yourself considerable embarrassment when you find out that you have collected all the wrong things. Start with a plan and a budget, build for seasonality, fit, fabric and functionality. Some thought at the start will help you to get more from less. No, we do not need a suit in every shade of the spectrum, we do not need single and double breasted versions of everything and that dark maroon double breasted Prince of Wales suit might not look quite as well on you as it does in the picture. In the same way, fabric might look and feel wonderful in the tailor’s shop but it will not look the same when you take it home. Be patient, be careful and accumulate a small but durable wardrobe that still looks sharp.
