The AskOkey process combines your needs and preferences with our expertise and experience in design and execution.
We start with a conversation, discussing how you live, and what you want to wear. We do not start working on your order until we know all about you.
What do you like to wear? Something thick, something smooth and light? We can talk you through our range of curated cloth, making sure that the cloth you choose suits your climate, lifestyle and taste. Lapels, vents, pockets and lining are settled here as well.
After you place your order, you use our AI measurement scanning tool to take around 80+ measurements and upload pictures so that our clothing team can see your shape and posture. This stage ensures the perfect fit that our customers all confirm.
If you are going for something bespoke, we draft your individual pattern and make a trial garment (test of fit) and send it to you. The test of fit is made in lightweight fabric, shipped to you to try on and photograph. Are you restricted to one test of fit? No. We will make as many as we need to, until the pattern is just right.
Now that your pattern is ready, we go to the next stages: cutting, construction and finishing. Construction includes full canvassing for jackets; finishing is the details: button holes, seams and edges.
Every order goes through several quality checks, until we are satisfied with it.
Your order is delivered to your shipping address; we include a complimentary hanger and garment bag.

What the hand does
The full canvas is floated, never fused, so the chest can move with you. Buttonholes, edges and linings are worked by hand. None of it is visible across a room - all of it is why the garment still hangs correctly a decade later.
Before you book
Bespoke typically takes 15+ weeks from first measure to delivery -the pattern drafting, made to measure is typically 6 to 8 weeks.
If you are working to a date - a wedding, a season, a move - tell us at the consultation and we will plan the fittings backwards from it.
Absolutely - AskOkey was built entirely around a remote model. All our conversations and consultations occur over text, phone, or video chat (whatever works for you!). Our team have extensive knowledge in cloth and cut to help guide you to the right decision. Fabric samples can be requested.
Since we have a remote model, we do things a little differently at AskOkey, but the essence of the fitting process is the same. We observe the fit, mark down our adjustments, and explain what will happen to your pattern. The first fitting is always for us - it allows us to assess the overall balance and proportions. The subsequent fittings are focused on dialling in the fit until everyone is satisfied.
Our fittings are conducted through photos and videos. Our clothing team have extensive experience doing fittings in-person, which allows that same expertise to be transferred online. Whereas most tailors use pins and chalk to mark up the garment for adjustments, we use our eyes.
